Step-by-Step Process of Trademark Registration

2. Select the Correct Class

Choosing the correct class is very important, otherwise the application may be rejected.
3. Filing the Application
The application is submitted online by filling out the TM A form and attaching the required documents.
Upon application, you receive a TM number, which allows you to use the ™ symbol.
4. Examination by Registry The Trademark Office examines your application. An objection must be filed if it is raised.
5. Publication in the Trademark Journal If all goes well, your trademark is published in the journal. If no opposition is received within 4 months, the process proceeds.
6. Trademark Registration Certificate Upon successful completion of the entire process, you are entitled to use the “R” (®) symbol.
